THE BELLABOX

Who doesn't love to go into a department store and try out all of the samples? I don't know a girl that doesn't. Samples are a great way to try particular products that you have heard about and want to try them for yourself. I personally like to try samples because I like to see what new stuff has come out and try it.

For me, trying samples say at a Mac makeup counter in front of all of these workers is a bit uncomfortable for me because if I don't like the product I feel really rude saying that I wouldn't like to buy it for myself. A great solution for this is to try the samples in your own home when no one is around.

You may be wondering if I just go to the shops, steal all the samples, take them home and try them but don't worry because I don't. I get them mailed to me! For my birthday I bought myself a present that I receive once a month.

At the beginning of each month I receive a Bellabox that has 5-7 beauty samples and full sized products for me to try and keep for $20 a month. Here is the BellaBox from November:

This Box was one of my favourites so far because all the products in here were great and enjoyable to use. The BellaBox is a great way to try out makeup and I am definitely going to renew it for next year.

Book Worm

I have always been a person who LOVES reading books. I sometimes start a book in the morning and finish it in the evening. I enjoy all genres and styles but my favourite is mystery/romance. I read all of my books from the YA section in my local bookstore.

As my fellow bookworms may know, books are expensive things. I spend hundreds of dollars a year on books that I read 1-2 times. Never fear though because I have discovered a free source for all of the books I want. The campus Library. You are probably sitting there like 'Is she serious?' and yes, I am serious.

I have never borrowed from Libraries before because I assumed that they wouldn't have the latest and greatest books. I was very wrong. I have been borrowing some of the newest books out there recently at the swipe of a card. Here are a couple of books I have read from the Library.

NOT IF I SEE YOU FIRST

Not if I see you first was published in December 2015 and appeared on my Library shelf early January. I was hesitant to read it because I wasn't sure how the book would go down but in the end it was alright. It did get a bit boring towards the end.

FANGIRL
Rainbow Rowell very quickly became one of my favourite authors after I read this book. I can totally relate to the characters in the book. This book was fabulous and I recommend it to anyone who is a major fangirl

LICCLE BIT
Liccle bit is the book I'm currently reading. I have only read about two chapters but I'm enjoying it so far. Not much to say about this book yet but I will update on my twitter @StephieKaraula if I'm enjoying it

I now live in my campus library so if you see me give me a holler.

Bargain Hunt

Todays post is going to be something a little different. It’s a collab post between Someone Online and The Beige Life. We wrote this together over a google doc. If you want to collab with Someone Online, go to her main page and scroll to the bottom to fill out the survey.

Recently, we both went on shopping trips to find an amazing bargain to share with you. Because the seasons are changing there are lots of clearance sales to get rid of all the Summer stock (for The Beige Life) and winter stock (For Someone Online) so it was the perfect time to score a bargain.

The Beige Life:
I decided to go on a shopping trip with my sister to try and find a bargain because although she can be painful, she finds a lot of good deals. When I was in Ally Fashion having a look at the 50% off rack I looked over to a wall that had tons of bathers hanging on it. When I looked at the price it said they were $5 each. I found a pattern I liked and tried the top and bottom on. I really liked them and because they were so cheap, decided to call it my bargain and retire from shopping for the day.

Someone Online:
A day or two ago, my family took a trip up to the shopping outlets to see if we can find anything to last us these few last months of the winter season. My family split up, two of my sisters with my mom and my older sister with me. We went to a bunch of different stores before she dragged me into Hollister. The clothes in Hollister don’t really fit me, because I have a very slim built, they all just seem really baggy, but as my sister were looking at the jeans, I headed off into my own direction, searching for something I could fit in. I stumbled across an “outfit” section where they had certain items of clothing that just went together and found this super cute white vest with a puffy, fuzzy hoodie and beneath it came with a nice little, light sweatshirt that matched perfectly! All together it only cost $18, which is pretty cheap for Hollister. Proud of my accomplishment, my sister and I left the store to go find the rest of my crazy family to head on home.

Just reminding you all that I (Someone Online) don’t take my own photos just yet, I don’t have a reliable camera for that.

That’s all we wanted to share with you all today! I hope you enjoyed our little finding adventures and are able to find some bargains of your own. Tell us in the comments what bargains you have scored!

The Fitness Commitment

New Year, New me, right? Although it's late February I have decided that I want to make a strong change in the 'fitness department'. I'm not the most active person but I do enjoy evening walks after dinner. I have never stepped foot into a gym let alone use one.

I was at the local shopping centre last week and passed Lorna Jane. I saw that they were still promoting New Year to convince people to go into the store and buy an overpriced piece of activewear to use three times for their new year's resolution to become fitter and then dump it in the bottom of the washing basket never to be seen again.

Well it worked because I walked into the store and picked out 6 sports bras to try on. I found one that fit perfectly and handed it to the lady so that I could pay for it. Here is the one I bought.

Yesterday I also went to the gym wearing this new sports bra and I have been going on evening jogs - not walks ever since.

I am very proud to say that I haven't given up on this Fitness Commitment and haven't thrown my sporting clothes at the bottom of my wardrobe.
